MAGUIRE: CAVANI WILL SCORE PLENTY FOR US
Harry Maguire believes we’ll see Edinson Cavani’s name on the scoresheet plenty more times this season, after the Uruguayan bagged his first in a red shirt on Saturday.
The former Paris Saint-Germain hitman came on for the last knockings of the 3-1 win at Goodison Park, taking his total involvement for United to 100 minutes across five games, all as substitute.
The 33-year-old – who had a claim for a penalty turned down by referee Paul Tierney – kept himself onside in injury time to latch on to Bruno Fernandes’s through ball and finish off the Toffees – and Maguire appreciated our no.7’s contribution off the bench.
